BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2023 – Our History, Our Heritage
February 5 – 26
1st Sunday: Education – Black Pioneers, Movers and Shakers in Education (Desiree Payne)
2nd Sunday: Legacy – Game Changing Black Leader Spotlight (Youth Ministry)
3rd Sunday: Logistics – Blacks in Transportation: Heartbeat of America (Deacon Byron Veasy)
4th Sunday: Arts – Black Theater: Barrier Breakers (Darius Dotch and Belden Ferguson, Jr.)
The idea is that we want to bring forward interesting facts and nuggets of knowledge that will educate, inform and inspire black people.
Black History Month Presentations will be shared every Sunday in February during the 9:30 AM Worship Service.
We will culminate the presentations on Sunday, February 26 with the wearing of our African Attire and with a special “Black History Month Praise” concert by Ms. Anita Wilson.
