Women of the Word
MINISTRY LEADER
Mission Statement
Objective
To uphold the vision of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church by embracing the spiritual, as well as the physical growth of each woman.
About the Ministry
The Women of the Word (WOW) Ministry inspires women to become spiritual vessels of God. Women are equipped for the work of the ministry by teaching the Word of God. The ministry deals with the morality, spirituality, and totality of the woman by teaching that the physical well being is just as important as the spiritual. WOW is a ministry that empowers, challenges, and convicts women to become Women of the Word.
We fellowship sisterly on a regular basis to grow together in Jesus Christ. Some of our activities include having prayer breakfasts, fun & fellowship game nights, movies & plays, Women’s Retreat, “Go Red for Women” Sunday, and the Annual Women’s Conference in June. We warmly invite you to join us as we worship in spirit and truth!
The Women of the Word Ministry is lead by Shiloh’s First Lady, Rosa Swift Daniels. First Lady Daniels conceived the Women’s Ministry in 1998 where she reigned as chairperson for the Ministers Wives’ Ministry. At the demise of the Ministers Wives’ Ministry, she became the chairperson of the Women of the Word Ministry.
First Lady Daniels is a God-fearing woman that has stood faithfully by Pastor Daniels since his call to the ministry. They were called from West Point, Mississippi to pastor at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Just as Ruth proclaimed to Naomi, Sis. Daniels also proclaimed, “Where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will lodge; your people will be my people; and your God my God.”
First Lady Daniels earned an Associate Degree from Mary Holmes Junior College in West Point, Mississippi. She also attended Mississippi University for Women and Mississippi State University prior to moving to Minnesota.
